Congratulations to Head Coach Jared Wacker and the 2023-24 MCC Baseball Team as they win the NJCAA D1 Region 4 Championship!  They defeated Triton College 12-3 on Saturday, May 11, to claim the championship game.  They have now qualified for the NJCAA D1 Baseball Midwest District Tournament.

Mark DeCicco was honored as Region 4 Tournament Most Valuable Player, and Head Coach Jared Wacker was honored as Region 4 Coach of the Year.

The NJCAA D1 Baseball Midwest District Tournament will be held at Wabash Valley College in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. Region 4, Region 11, and Region 24 Champions to compete for NJCAA D1 National Tournament berth. (McHenry County College, Iowa Western Community College, John Logan College, and Wabash Valley College)

The winner of the Midwest District earns a berth to the NJCAA D1 World Series held in Grand Junction, Colorado, May 25-31.

Wednesday, May 15
Noon – Game 1 - McHenry County vs. John A. Logan
3 p.m. – Game 2 - Wabash Valley vs. Iowa Western

Thursday, May 16
9:30 a.m. – Game 3 -  Loser GM 1 vs. Loser GM 2
12:30 p.m. – Game 4 -  Winner GM 1 vs. Winner GM 2
3:30 p.m. –  Game 5 -  Winner GM 3 vs. Loser GM 4

Friday, May 17
Noon – Winner GM 4 vs. Winner GM 5
3 p.m. – If Necessary

Admission price will be $5 a person (Under 12 will be free) and will be cash only at the gate.
